Follow this process for every crimped assembly. It applies to every JIC female 74 degree cone fitting size from dash -04 to -20. Skipping one step is the most common cause of early fitting failure.

• Use both hexes when installing. Hold the inner hex S1 with a backup wrench while tightening the outer hex S2. This protects the barbed tail from twisting stress.
