One Piece Fittings

Full Crimp Range for Spiral and PTFE Hose

A one piece fitting combines the stem and the crimp collar in a single, integral body. Crimped directly onto the hose end, it forms a leak-free, pull-off-resistant joint that holds the assembly to the hose’s rated working pressure. This page is the complete guide to our one piece hydraulic hose fittings: four one-piece families covering spiral-wire and PTFE hoses, dash sizes from 03 to 32 (DN 4 to 50), full dimensions, pressure data, installation steps, and ordering terms. Scan the tables, confirm your match, and request a quote in minutes.

What Are One Piece Hydraulic Hose Fittings?

One piece fittings are hydraulic hose fittings in which the body and the ferrule are formed from a single blank, instead of a separate stem and collar. During assembly, the hose end is prepared, the stem section is inserted into the bore, and the whole body is compressed by a crimping machine. Because there is no separate ferrule to align, the crimp zone stays concentric with the hose by design.

Why engineers specify one piece fittings:

  • One part instead of two: fewer components to stock, handle, and match
  • Concentric crimp by geometry: no stem-to-ferrule misalignment
  • Fewer leak paths and a cleaner outer profile
  • Built for high-pressure spiral hose and PTFE (Teflon) service
  • Single-use integrity: every assembly starts with a fresh, certified part

Core value: choosing the right one-piece fitting is the first step to a hose assembly that will not leak and will not pull apart.

Three customer paths:

  • For OEM manufacturers — standardize one part number per assembly, reduce inventory lines, and lock in repeatable crimp results. Start here.
  • For end users and maintenance teams — match your existing hose assemblies by standard and dash size, then repair in-house with the correct tooling. Start here.
  • For distributors — consolidate the full one-piece range in one catalog, with mixed-size sample kits and private labeling. Start here.

Send us your port thread and standard. We confirm the correct connection configuration before production.

Hose-Side: One-Piece Fitting Families

The table below lists the four one-piece hydraulic hose fittings families in this range. Length (L) is the primary hose-side dimension, held to ±0.5 mm; outer diameter tolerance is ±0.1 mm for stable crimp results.

SeriesHose FamilyStandardDashDN (mm)Length L (mm)Inner Bore Design
004004SP / 4SH / R12 spiralEN 856 / SAE J51704–326–5037.5–79Serrated teeth
01400R12 spiral, large boreSAE J51720–2432–3867.5–75Barb-like serrations
00TF0PTFE (Teflon), small borePTFE per hose maker03–164–2527.5–50.8Stepped locating shoulder
00710PTFE (Teflon), large borePTFE per hose maker06–3210–5028.6–69.8Enlarged mid-section + stepped shoulder

Dash size equals the hose I.D. in 1/16-inch increments: 03 = 5 mm, 06 = 10 mm, 12 = 20 mm, 20 = 32 mm, 32 = 50 mm. Note the exceptions: 00TF0-03 fits a 4 mm PTFE bore, and 01400-24 fits the 38 mm (1-1/2 in) R12 bore. Always match the dash size to the hose I.D., then confirm the cover O.D. against the applicable standard.

Material and Surface Finish

Material choice is the second decision when selecting hydraulic hose fittings for corrosive or hygienic service.

OptionSpecificationApplication
Carbon steel, cold formedBalanced hardness, typically HRC 20-25, resists cracking during crimpingStandard for all four series
Yellow zinc platingYellow chromate passivation, ≥120 h neutral salt spray per ISO 9227Standard finish, general industry
Zinc-nickel platingHigher corrosion resistanceOffshore, marine, high-corrosion duty
Stainless steelClean, unplated surfaceChemical, pharmaceutical, food and steam service

Key Features

  • One-piece design: stem and ferrule in a single part
  • High pressure: up to 450 bar (6,527 psi) on 4SP assemblies; 4,000 psi constant on R12
  • Corrosion resistant: ≥120 h salt spray, zinc-nickel and stainless options
  • SAE / DIN / ISO compliant: EN 856, SAE J517, ISO 8434-1
  • Single-use certified: fresh part for every assembly, batch traceability on packaging

Crimping Tools and Installation

One piece hydraulic hose fittings are crimped with standard hydraulic crimping machines and common die sets. We provide reference crimp data and die selection for your machine model with every order, so no special tooling is required.

Installation steps:

  1. Cut the hose square with a sharp hose cutter.
  2. Prepare the hose end per the hose maker’s instructions (skive where required, e.g. 4SH and R12).
  3. Insert the stem section fully into the hose bore until it seats.
  4. Position the assembly in the correct die set.
  5. Crimp to the target crimp diameter from your hose manufacturer’s crimp chart.
  6. Verify the crimp O.D. with a caliper and record the value.

Two rules prevent failures: always use the target crimp diameter from the hose maker’s chart, and never re-crimp a used one-piece fitting. One-piece fittings are single-use components. We supply them as matched sets with the correct stems for certified assemblies.

Nomenclature: How to Read a Part Number

Every one-piece fitting follows the same rule across all one-piece hydraulic hose fittings in this range:

SERIES - DASH

Take 00400-12 as an example:

FieldValueMeaning
Series00400One-piece family for 4SP / 4SH / R12 spiral hoses
Dash12Hose I.D. = 20 mm (dash 12)

More examples: 01400-24 is the R12 large-bore family at DN 38; 00TF0-08 is the small-bore PTFE family at DN 12; 00710-32 is the large-bore PTFE family at DN 50. When ordering, always quote the full part number with the dash suffix.

Matching by Hose Family

Use this table to find the correct one-piece series for your hydraulic hose fittings needs:

We do not list competitor part numbers on this page. Send us your hose brand, construction, and dash size, and our engineers verify the exact match for you before you order.

Applications and Industries

One piece hydraulic hose fittings are specified across these industries:

  • Mining and tunneling: 4SP and R12 assemblies for drill rigs, crushers, and conveyor systems
  • Construction and mobile equipment: 4SP and R12 for excavators, loaders, and telehandlers
  • Oil and gas: 4SP and R12 for high-pressure transfer and well-service lines
  • Chemical and pharmaceutical: PTFE assemblies in stainless steel for aggressive media
  • Food and beverage: PTFE assemblies for hygienic process lines
  • Steam service: PTFE assemblies for hot and condensate media
  • Marine and offshore: spiral series with zinc-nickel plating

Working pressure and temperature ranges:

FamilyWorking PressureTemperature Range
EN 856 4SP450 bar (dash 04-06) down to 140 bar (dash 32)-40 °C to +100 °C
EN 856 4SHUp to 420 bar at dash 12-40 °C to +100 °C
SAE 100 R124,000 psi (276 bar) constant-40 °C to +121 °C
PTFEUp to 3,000 psi (207 bar) small bores, per hose maker-70 °C to +260 °C (core)

Selection note: 4SP, 4SH, and R12 assemblies are for hydraulic power transmission. PTFE assemblies are for chemical, food, and steam service, not for heavy hydraulic power. We state this honestly so you select the right part the first time.
