Assembly and Use Guide
Push-On Assembly in Three Steps
- Cut the hose square: use a sharp hose cutter so the end is clean and square; a ragged end will not seat evenly over the barbs.
- Lubricate and push: apply a thin film of assembly lubricant to the barbs and the hose bore, then push the hose onto the fitting until it seats firmly against the collar. The barbs must be fully covered by the hose.
- Check and pull-test: pull the hose to confirm the barbs are engaged, then fit the thread end with sealant and tighten the fitting into the port.
Threading the BSPT End
Wrap PTFE tape clockwise around the taper thread (or apply pipe dope) before assembly. Thread the fitting into the port by hand until the thread bites, then tighten with a wrench on the S1 hexagon.
