It joins two ORFS connections and carries the elastomeric O-ring in a groove machined into each flat sealing face.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Both connection ends must match their mating port exactly in thread size, face diameter and O-ring size, because an ORFS joint seals on the flat face against the O-ring and not on the thread. That exact match is the precondition for eliminating leakage at the conversion point.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Sealing principle of this series: each end is a male ORFS stud with a flat sealing face, an O-ring seated in a face groove, and a straight UNF thread. The joint is completed by the female swivel nut of the mating hose or tube assembly, which pulls the two flat faces together and compresses the O-ring between them. What a 1F Adapter Does<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A 1F adapter is an ORFS male adapter: a straight stud with a male ORFS end at each side. It connects a tube or hose assembly terminated with an ORFS female swivel nut to a second ORFS connection, either the same size or a reduced size.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The part does one job: it moves fluid between two ORFS flat face ports without changing direction. Equal-ended rows such as 1F-08 carry the same thread at both ends. Reducing rows such as 1F-08-10 carry a smaller ORFS end at the first position and a larger ORFS end at the second, which converts a line without an additional reducer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Because the seal is a face seal, the condition of the two flat faces and the two O-rings governs the result. Read the E column as the first end and the F column as the second end, as printed in table 2.5.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.3 Construction and Materials<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The body is machined from bar stock on CNC lathes, with the two threads, the two flat faces, the two O-ring grooves and the hex turned so that the faces stay square to their threads and concentric with each other.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Body material: carbon steel as standard; 304 stainless steel or 316 stainless steel on request; brass for selected sizes.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Plating and finish: trivalent chromium zinc plating (Cr3+) for carbon steel as standard; zinc-nickel plating available. Plating thickness and corrosion performance are confirmed per order rather than published as a series figure.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Seal material options: NBR, FKM and EPDM O-rings for the face grooves, matched to the fluid and the temperature of the circuit.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Machining process: bar-stock turning, thread form produced to the port standard, face groove checked against the drawing, O-ring fitted and the assembly checked before packing.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>Hex feature: a single centre hex (S1) on the body, from 17 mm to 55 mm across flats depending on size. There is no bulkhead feature and no lock nut in this series.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.4 Pressure and Temperature<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Working pressure for a 1F adapter is not set by the series code. It is governed by the thread size, the wall thickness of the stud and the mating tube, the sealing method and the material selected. Working pressure for these sizes is confirmed per order by HENGHUA engineering, based on the thread size, sealing method and material selected.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Temperature is a material question and is stated here as a material fact rather than a performance claim. For NBR, the working range of the elastomer is approximately -30\u00b0C to +100\u00b0C. For FKM (Viton-type), it is approximately -20\u00b0C to +200\u00b0C. For EPDM, it is approximately -40\u00b0C to +120\u00b0C. Because the O-ring is the sealing element of this series, these figures apply directly to the adapter itself, not only to other components in the circuit.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Carbon steel with zinc plating suits general hydraulic service; specify 304 or 316 stainless steel for corrosive, offshore or washdown environments.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.5 Part Number and Dimension Table<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The table below is the complete printed size range of the 1F series. How to Read a 1F Part Number<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A 1F adapter part number has three elements: the series prefix, one or two size codes, and no sealing suffix on this series.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The prefix <code>1F<\/code> identifies the family: a straight ORFS male adapter with a flat face O-ring seal at both ends, made to SAE J1453. A different prefix in the same catalogue identifies a different geometry, such as an elbow, a female swivel version, a plug, or a cross standard adapter with an NPT, BSPT or metric port at the other end.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The size code is the ORFS dash size. One code means both ends are the same size. Two codes separated by a dash mean the first code is connection 1 (the E column) and the second code is connection 2 (the F column), which makes the part a reducer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Worked example: 1F-08-10.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><code>1F<\/code> &#8211; straight ORFS male stud with a flat face O-ring seal, SAE J1453.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><code>08<\/code> &#8211; connection 1 is the 13\/16&#8243;x16 size, with O-ring code O014.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><code>10<\/code> &#8211; connection 2 is the 1&#8243;x14 size, with O-ring code O016.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>From the table: A is 12.8 mm, B is 15.5 mm, L is 40 mm and S1 is 27 mm.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A buyer ordering 1F-08-10 receives a straight stud with a smaller ORFS end and a larger ORFS end, and must confirm that the face groove at each end takes the O-ring code printed against that end, because the face diameters differ.
