The stud end carries an O-ring that seats on the chamfer of the port, and a locknut (the &#8220;back nut&#8221;) that clamps the body shoulder against the port face and holds the chosen orientation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connection 1 \u2014 Metric Male 24\u00b0 Cone (L or S Series)<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The tube-side leg is a metric male end with an external 24\u00b0 cone seat per DIN 2353 \/ ISO 8434-1. In 1CO9-OG the thread follows the L (light) series \u2014 M12\u00d71.5 for 6 mm tube, M22\u00d71.5 for 15 mm and so on. In 1DO9-OG the same tube sizes use the S (heavy) series thread, one size larger \u2014 M14\u00d71.5 for 6 mm tube, M24\u00d71.5 for 16 mm. The two series are not interchangeable at the port; match the thread to the port, not to the tube.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connection 2 \u2014 UN \/ UNF Adjustable Stud End with O-Ring, ISO 11926-1<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The imperial leg is a straight UN \/ UNF threaded stud end with an O-ring groove at the base, dimensioned to ISO 11926-1 (SAE J1926-1). Sizes run from 7\/16&#8243;-20 (dash 04) to 1-7\/8&#8243;-12 (dash 24). The port is a plain straight-thread port with a flat face and a chamfer; it is <strong>not<\/strong> a tapered pipe thread. Forcing this stud into an NPT, BSPT or 60\u00b0 cone port will damage the port and cannot seal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The three common interfaces that look similar but never interchange are the 24\u00b0 cone (metric, DIN 2353), the 60\u00b0 cone (BSP, DIN 3861 \/ ISO 1179) and the 37\u00b0 flare (JIC, ISO 8434-2). A fourth, the straight-thread O-ring stud, uses no cone at all. Check the port drawing before ordering.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dimensional Data<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In the drawing, <strong>E<\/strong> is the metric end thread, <strong>F<\/strong> the UN \/ UNF stud thread, <strong>D1<\/strong> the tube outside diameter, <strong>l1<\/strong> the usable stud length to the O-ring face, <strong>L1<\/strong> the overall length of the stud leg to the centreline and <strong>L2<\/strong> the height of the metric leg \u2014 one horizontal dimension, one vertical dimension. Two adjacent tube sizes can share one dash number, which is why the same stud appears twice in the table with different metric ends.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Material and Heat Treatment<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Bodies and locknuts are carbon steel, forged or machined from bar, hardened according to pressure class and finished in trivalent chromium or zinc-nickel. Stainless 304 \/ 316L is available to order. O-rings are standard NBR 90 Shore A; FKM is supplied for high-temperature or aggressive fluid duty.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Working Pressure and Operating Envelope<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The pressure column is the working pressure for the L or S series metric end. The UN \/ UNF stud end is rated to the port standard; in practice the lower of the two governs, and the tube wall sets a third limit. A 4:1 burst ratio is typical for the body.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Temperature Range<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>NBR O-rings: \u221240 \u00b0C to +120 \u00b0C. FKM O-rings: \u221220 \u00b0C to +200 \u00b0C. In the D series the same information appears as <code>1DO9-14-04OG<\/code>: metric size 14 is the S series equivalent of tube 6 mm.
