Follow this process for every crimped assembly. It applies to every 45 degree SAE flange fitting 3000 psi size from dash -08 to -32. Skipping one step is the most common cause of early fitting failure.

• Tighten bolts in a cross pattern. Tighten the four bolts alternately to the torque value on the data sheet to keep the O-ring evenly compressed.
• Never reuse a crimped fitting. Once crimped, the ferrule zone is work-hardened. A re-crimp cannot restore the original grip.
