SAE Flange 6000 PSI Code 62 Hydraulic Hose Fitting: 87611 Series

Why This Code 62 Flange Fitting Passes the Compliance Gate
If your circuit runs beyond 3,000 psi, code 62 flange fittings are the connection class that keeps joints leak-free and serviceable. The HENGHUA 87611 series is a straight SAE flange 6000 psi hydraulic hose fitting: the SAE J518 Code 62 head is machined to ISO 6162-2, and the hose end follows ISO 12151-3 / SAE J516. Twelve standard part numbers cover flange sizes from 1/2 inch to 2 inch with hose bores from DN 12 to DN 50 (dash -08 to -32).
For OEMs, this series gives a documented, repeatable flange interface that survives high-pressure impulse duty. For distributors, one line of SAE 6000 psi flange fittings covers six flange sizes, which simplifies stock planning. For maintenance teams, the four-bolt split flange design means field replacement in minutes with standard tools.
- SAE J518 Code 62 head per ISO 6162-2, rated for 6,000 psi service in the SAE 6000 psi flange fittings family
- Straight geometry for direct flange-to-hose routing with minimum pressure drop
- Twelve braided-hose combinations from 1/2 inch to 2 inch flange, -08 to -32 hose dash
- Spiral-hose version available under the series number printed on the dimension sheet
- 100% pressure tested at the factory before packing, with MTR available per order
Core Advantages
- True 6000 psi class. This code 62 flange fitting carries the SAE J518 heavy-series head for high-pressure hydraulics, and the complete fitting is factory pressure tested before shipment.
- Full size ladder in one series. Flange sizes 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1.1/4, 1.1/2 and 2 inch match the standard ISO 6162-2 envelope, so retrofit planning is straightforward.
- Braided and spiral coverage. The table lists code 62 flange fittings for braided hose; spiral-wound hose applications are covered by the matching spiral series.
- Corrosion protection options. Trivalent zinc, zinc-nickel or Dacromet finishes let you match the environment, from dry indoor plant rooms to offshore and mining sites.
Technical Specifications
What Is a Code 62 Flange Fitting?
A code 62 flange fitting is a high-pressure hydraulic hose terminal with a flat flange head and an O-ring groove on the sealing face. The head is clamped to a mating pad or valve port by a two-piece split flange and four bolts, which is why this connection is also called a four-bolt flange. Code 62 is the 6,000 psi class defined in ISO 6162-2 and SAE J518, while Code 61 is the lighter 3,000 psi class; the two are not interchangeable, and the dimensional tables are different.
The hose end of the 87611 series is a barbed stem sized for braided hydraulic hose and crimped with a standard crimping machine. Because the sealing element is an O-ring rather than a tapered thread, the joint tolerates vibration, thermal cycling and repeated assembly better than many threaded connections of the same size. As one of the flange type hydraulic hose fittings in the HENGHUA range, the 87611 is matched to split flange clamps from the same Code 62 system. When you compare code 61 vs code 62 flange options, choose Code 62 whenever the system operating pressure exceeds 3,000 psi or the application calls for a higher safety margin.

Selection and Ordering
How to Read the Part Number Matrix
The 87611 part number has three fields: 87611 – flange size – hose size. Both the flange field and the hose field use the dash numbering convention where each dash number equals 1/16 inch. A flange of 1/2 inch becomes -08, 3/4 inch becomes -12, 1 inch becomes -16, and so on. The hose field follows the same convention, so -24 matches DN 40 hose and -32 matches DN 50 hose. For a flange type hydraulic hose fitting like this series, the two numeric fields define the whole interface, so cross-check the FLANGE SIZE and HOSE BORE columns against your hose and port before ordering.
Flange Size and Dash Size Chart
| FLANGE SIZE | FLANGE DASH | HOSE DASH COMBINATIONS COVERED | HOSE BORE DN |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1/2″ | -08 | -08 | DN 12 |
| 3/4″ | -12 | -10, -12 | DN 16, 20 |
| 1″ | -16 | -12, -16, -20 | DN 20, 25, 32 |
| 1.1/4″ | -20 | -16, -20 | DN 25, 32 |
| 1.1/2″ | -24 | -20, -24 | DN 32, 40 |
| 2″ | -32 | -24, -32 | DN 40, 50 |

Assembly and Use Guide
Four-Step Crimping Procedure
- Cut the hose square with a sharp cutter; a clean 90 degree end protects the inner tube and the seal.
- Mark the insertion depth on the hose outer cover with the depth mark from the crimp data sheet.
- Apply a thin layer of assembly lubricant and push the hose onto the stem until it reaches the mark.
- Crimp with the die set specified for this series, then verify the crimp outer diameter with a caliper against the value on the data sheet.
The crimp data sheet is provided with every order. Always confirm the crimp diameter with the fitting batch and the hose brand you actually use, because hose cover tolerance varies by manufacturer.
Mounting the Flange Connection
- Align the flange head squarely with the mating pad and check that the port face is clean.
- Seat the O-ring in the groove on the flange head or in the port counterbore, per your clamp kit drawing.
- Place the two split flange halves over the head and insert the four bolts with the washers supplied in the clamp kit.
- Tighten the bolts in a diagonal sequence, in two or three passes, to the torque given in the flange clamp data sheet.
Like every flange type hydraulic hose fitting, the 87611 needs its matching clamp set and O-ring. Bolts, split flange clamps and O-rings are ordered separately and matched to the Code 62 flange size. Do not reuse an O-ring that has been compressed in service.
Installation Warnings
- Do not mix fittings, hose ends or ferrules from different manufacturers in one crimp assembly; dimensional systems differ even when they look alike.
- Braided-hose fittings and spiral-hose fittings are not interchangeable. Use the series printed on the dimension sheet for your hose type.
- Bolts for the flange clamp are not included with the fitting. Order the correct Code 62 bolt kit for the flange size.
- A crimped fitting cannot be reworked. If the crimp diameter is out of tolerance, cut off the ferrule and start with a new fitting.
- Always verify the O-ring is present and undamaged before assembly; the O-ring is the sealing element of the whole joint.
OEM Customization and Quality Traceability
Customization Options
The 87611 series is available with OEM-specific options on volume orders. Stem length and hose-end geometry can be adapted to your assembly drawings, and surface finish can be switched between trivalent zinc, zinc-nickel and Dacromet to meet your corrosion specification. Laser marking adds your logo, series and batch code on the flange head or the hex, and 304 or 316L stainless steel can be substituted for carbon steel in corrosive environments.
Quality and Traceability System
Every batch follows the same flow: incoming material check, cold forging, machining, heat treatment, surface finishing, 100% inspection, pressure testing, marking and packing. A batch code on the box links back to the material heat number, the heat-treatment records and the inspection reports. MTR certificates accompany orders on request, and BV/SGS third-party inspection can be scheduled before shipment.
FAQ
What standard is the 87611 code 62 flange fitting built to? The flange head follows SAE J518 / ISO 6162-2 (Code 62), and the hose end follows ISO 12151-3 / SAE J516. The series sheet carries both references on the drawing.
What pressure rating does the 87611 series have? Code 62 is the 6,000 psi flange class. The finished hose assembly is limited by the hose rating and the crimp specification, so confirm the working pressure with your hose data sheet.
Is 87611 for braided or spiral hose? The table lists code 62 flange fittings for braided hose. For spiral-wound hose, order the spiral series number given in the note under the dimension table.
How do I know which flange size and dash size I need? Measure the flange head and the hose bore, then match them to the FLANGE SIZE and HOSE BORE columns. Each dash number equals 1/16 inch, so 2 inch reads as -32. The SAE flange fitting dimensions published above cover every standard combination in the series.
How is the flange sealed? Sealing is by O-ring between the flange face and the mating port, compressed by the split flange clamp and four bolts. Keep the O-ring groove clean and use a new O-ring at every reassembly.
Are the bolts and split flange included with the fitting? No. The fitting is the hose-end terminal; split flange clamps, bolts and O-rings are matched separately to the Code 62 flange size.
Can I get custom marking or materials? Yes. Laser marking, custom stem length, surface finish options and 304/316L stainless steel are available on volume OEM orders.
What is the lead time and how do I get a sample? Quotes are answered within 24 hours, and samples ship worldwide. Send the part number, quantity and destination port to get a confirmed lead time.
