The third is ship to ship transfer hose duty in lightering zones, where deep-draft tankers transfer cargo to smaller ships that can enter port. Working pressure follows the service class: shipboard bunkering hose is typically rated at about 10 bar (145 PSI); ship-to-shore and ship-to-ship transfer hose typically runs 10\u201316 bar (145\u2013232 PSI); offshore floating and submarine hose is commonly rated around 15 bar (218 PSI), with higher-rated designs available for high-flow terminals. Bunker and transfer products are also built in higher ratings \u2014 confirm the working pressure for your duty against the datasheet, not the catalog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Temperature follows the product. A standard NBR-tube construction suits roughly -20\u00b0C to +80\u00b0C, and that window covers most marine oil transfer duty. Heated-fuel systems and Arctic voyages fall outside it \u2014 specify a specialty compound whose datasheet states the extended range. In every case, order only a hose whose datasheet states both the working pressure rating and the temperature range: a datasheet missing either figure is incomplete, so ask for the rated window in writing before ordering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-step-4-specify-standards-testing-and-certificates\">Step 4: Specify Standards, Testing and Certificates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Every marine order should name the standard its hose will be built and documented to. Electrical safety is checked to ISO 8031, which sets the test methods for electrical resistance and conductivity of rubber and plastics hoses.
